Corporate Accountability—Updated 7/23

As a dedicated and committed tracker of how business leaders respond to crises and social justice issues , I am witnessing a whole new level of monitoring for corporate accountability. Individuals and organizations are keen to gauge how company reputations are faring with all this unprecedented disruption and count who is doing what to help support people affected by the coronavirus and the recent killings of Black men and women by law enforcement which has sparked protests worldwide in favor of advancing racial equality. People are dead serious about keeping track of companies to keep them honest.

I decided to keep track of these reputation-based and action-based initiatives to see where it all ends up. As a matter of course, I did this with other such events where companies played a more public role than before. I am just trying to assess who is keeping count and who is looking at reputation perceptions during this tumultuous times. I will keep a look out for new ones over the coming weeks because I think this is just the beginning. Please send me any listings or rankings you come across! So far, I have nearly a dozen as of June 25, 2020.
